ROPE DETAILS
- Yellow Poly Jumbo Reels: Minke Ventures Yellow Polypropylene rope comes on plastic flanged jumbo reels. Our yellow polypropylene ropes are made with the same specifications as the Premium Blue rope, offering higher break strength than comparable yellow polypropylene jumbo reels in the Canadian marketplace. We distribute a medium lay rope that is ultraviolet stabilized for longer life in the sun. Our rope is easier to work with, and holds knots better than our competitors'.
- Premium Blue Polypropylene: Minke Ventures Premium Blue Polypropylene is a 3-strand rope that offers higher break strength than most other (high break) polypropylene ropes. Our rope is abrasion resistant, has excellent shock absorption, is easier to grip, has minimal elongation, is durable, and is ultraviolet stabilized. The rope has excellent shape retention and is fully balanced and torque free. It usually comes in 600 foot coils, but longer lengths are available upon request. A number of the smaller diameter ropes also come in 1200 feet lengths.
- Premium Blue Polypropylene Mooring: Minke Ventures Premium Blue Polypropylene Mooring rope comes in 600 foot coils. Our 3-strand rope has a higher break than most other (high break) polypropylene ropes. It is abrasion resistant, has excellent shock absorption, is easier to grip, has minimal elongation, is durable and is ultraviolet stabilized. Our rope has excellent shape retention and is fully balanced and torque free.
- 3-Strand Nylon: Our 3-strand nylon rope performs well in extreme conditions. It is high strength, offers good strength retention, is torque free, balanced and easy to handle. It has excellent abrasion resistance. This rope comes on a reel and is sold by 600 foot lengths.
- Double Braided Nylon: Our double-braided nylon rope is high strength, and is resistant to abrasion, chemicals and ultraviolet rays. It is torque free, high stretch and has excellent shock absorption. It is commonly used in applications that involve shock loading such as anchor and mooring lines.
- Double Braided Polyester: This is a high strength rope. Whether wet or dry, it offers excellent abrasion resistance and strength. Good resistance to ultraviolet rays and common chemicals. Low stretch, torque free. Weathers better than most popular fibers.
- Solid Braided Nylon: A strong, soft, lightweight cord with excellent resistance to rot, abrasion, mildew, and most chemicals and petroleum products. It has a shock-absorbing elasticity that allows it to withstand great strain. Holds its form well and works well on pulleys.
- Solid Braided Polyester: This rope has low stretch, high strength, good abrasion resistance, excellent resistance to ultraviolet rays and works well in pulleys.
- Solid Braid Multifilament Halter: Great halter and lead rope. This rope is soft and handles well. It is strong and durable, resistant to rot, abrasion, and grease. It floats.
- Hollow Braid Poly: Hollow braid is a floating rope which is easy to splice. It is often referred to as diamond braid. Rope will not rot or be affected by mildew. Hold knots well and resists breakdown from oil, grease and chemicals.
- Manila: This rope is made from the natural fiber of the abaca tree. Low stretch and good abrasion resistance. Poor chemical resistance, subject to mildew and rot.
- Sisal: This is a natural fiber rope made from the agave plant. The rope is not treated with oil, has moderate stretch and holds knots well, but offers poor chemical resistance and easily rots.
- Sisal Twine: A natural fiber twine, natural color (see Sisal).
- Leaded Sinking Line: This leaded polypropylene rope is also referred to as manline or groundline. It has a colored tracer, and is often used by prawn and crab fishermen.
- Premium Shock Cord: An elastic cord often referred to as bungee cord. The core consists of strands of rubber, which is covered with an outer abrasion- resistant synthetic fiber jacket. It's used by boaters, campers, home, weekend warriors, bicycles, motorcycles, trucks etc.
- Rubber: Solid or hollow core rubber rope, used in trucking applications.
- Starter Cord: Synthetic starter cord.
- Premium Sash Cord: This cord has an interlocking solid braid construction. It has a durable composite cotton cover and is polished with a weather resistant coating. It has a synthetic reinforced core.
- Premium Econo Cord: This cord has an interlocking solid braid construction. It has a durable composite cotton cover and is polished with a weather resistant coating. It has a synthetic reinforced core and is of lesser quality than premium sash cord.
- Awning Cord: The rope is constructed with tight braided cotton yarns. The core fibers add strength to the overall rope. Diamond braided cord may be used in a variety of applications.
- Nylon Crab Line: Advantages include high strength and durability. Firm yet flexible construction provides easy handling. It has controlled elongation, zero rotation under load, handles well in hauler, and it sinks.
- Winch Line: 12-Strand synthetic winch line is stronger than wire rope. It's flexible, low stretch, handles easily, with good abrasion resistance. Minimum break is 5,500 pounds, lightweight. Rope floats and has lower snap back. All lines come with a galvanized thimble on one end. This rope is available in 50 and100 foot lengths.
- Flat Braid Rope: This rope has a flat braided construction of approximately 1/2 x 1/8 inch. Multicolor red, white and blue. It is a multifilament rope.
- Dock Line: Dock line is made of double braided nylon rope, and comes with an eye on one end.
- Anchor Line: Anchor lines are made of 3-strand nylon rope. The lines have a stainless steel thimble spliced on one end and come on a reel.
Retail Packs: Minke Ventures Inc provides retail packs in attractive high-visibility packaging with a hole-punched header card for hanging on pegboards. Packs are available in both 50 and 100 foot lengths in various diameters in the following types: Yellow polypropylene, Premium Blue polypropylene, 3-strand nylon, double braided nylon, solid braided nylon, and flat braided multifilament.
